a wonderful and inspiring interview!

Alison used to sing a prayer in Maori in the 1980s, which she learnt (and perhaps adapted) from Kahu, and which in turn I adapted and still sing.

Another historical analogy to (or instance of) the resurrection of Christ after three days may be the three years that passed between the execution of the Bab (whose character and life history so resembles that of Jesus of Nazareth) and the quite unexpected 'resurrection', the re-emergence of Christ as Baha'ullah, from the 'grave' called the black pit, in Tehran. He then continued His Mission in a body/temple until natural death. That makes this dispensation unique and the focal point of prophecy.

Nancy, thank you for the link. I do not have the quote, however the Universal House of Justice does affirm that such a tablet exists, but is of yet untranslated.

Gerald, I can understand you questioning Alison re her unenrollment, because you are conducting an interview, however, everyone must realize that the onus for an explanation rests with the House since they made the decision, not with Alison.

So far they have refused to explain why they treated a believer in such a despicable manner. Both to her and to others.

Believe me, many Baha'is wrote to the House because they were troubled by the decision, as did Alison herself. Yet there is a complete and utter refusal to give an explanation beyond the legalese mumbo-jumbo which they wrote in the original message of unenrollment.

I can understand them not responding to third parties, but to not respond and clarify what specific behavior or pattern of behaviors, or words caused them to arrive at such a conclusion is simply not just.

As the old legal saying goes: Justice must not only be done. It must be seen to be done.

And in this case the House of Justice falls short.

Alison,
Of course, and sorry again for that. Just a misunderstanding.

Gerald,

Many thanks for changing the introduction, and doing so promptly.

Yes, I can understand that my blog entry might have given the impression that you censored comments. I thought I was simply explaining why the comment was not showing. However, I didn't know what you would do. I am used to being ignored. But, in any case, I have changed the wording on my blog and removed that line.

Alison,

Also please know, I do not censor the comments, I only wait for acceptance as I have had a few very unsavory comments I considered hateful and not worthy of posting. I do not however censor views that disagree with me, and most of all not legitimate criticisms. Your blog post seemed to indicate that you did not expect me to accept the comment.
